Chimpanzee Trekking
Chimpanzee trekking requires a moderate level of fitness. The hike usually lasts between 2 and 4 hours, depending on the location of the chimpanzees. Trails may be steep, muddy, and uneven.
Participants must be 15 years or older to join chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe National Park.
Wear comfortable hiking clothes, waterproof hiking boots, long trousers, a long-sleeved shirt, and a lightweight rain jacket. We also recommend bringing insect repellent, sunscreen, and a small backpack for personal items.
